What's new in the property market

The property market although allowed to remain open in the current lockdown, continues to remain pretty stagnant.  Talk of extending the stamp duty holiday beyond March has currently failed to produce any announcements and lenders continue to be risk adverse.  An average rule of thumb was a sale would take approximately twelve weeks to complete from the time the offer was accepted.  With searches taking up to eleven weeks to be returned, sales now seem to be averaging twenty weeks.

Although all this may sound pretty negative, considering we are in a national lockdown it could be considered pretty good news.  When the current lockdown is lifted, we are hoping that the property market will start to be pretty buoyant.  With BREXIT now behind us and the current COVID-19 infection rate falling, barring a third national lockdown the property market could start once more to take on a bullish trend.

What We Achieved At Christmas

Every Christmas The Greenaway Foundation which is the  registered charity for Greenaway Residential Estate Agents helps financially challnged families.  Help is given by providing families with all the ingredients they need to cook a two cours Christmas dinner, on Christmas Eve morning 170 Reindeers (volunteers) turned up at Oriel High School  in Maidenbower Crawley to make deliveries to 525 families.

Many children from thses families can make a wish for a present up to the value of £25 which were also delivered along with the food.  Over 400 children received their wishes.

We want to thank everyone who gave up their time to help, made donations or bought a childs wish.  Without your help we could not have achieved so much.

A Hug For The NHS Frontline Staff

The Greenaway Foundation in association with the Crawley Rugby Club, for the next six months will be providing frontline NHS staff in every hospital in the Southeast of England with a little luxury when they can take some valuable 'me times'.

Every hug has a few items like bath bombs, moisturisers, shampoo, conditionaers, etc and it is our way of showing our appreciation for what they are doing in these tough times.

WIf you would like to show your appreciation we need items to be donated which we can then put into hugs or if you would like make a financial donation which we can then buy the items.  The gofundme page is https://gofund.me/70acaeb1

All help is greatly appreciated.
